TreulogyAI (treulogy.com) is operated by Common Sense Goods Inc., a corporation incorporated in Alberta, Canada. We also operate Lode Light Guides (lodelightguides.com). Both services are subject to this Privacy Policy.

The short version

We collect only what we need. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers who help us operate our business. You have rights over your data, and we will honour them.

What we collect and why

When you use TreulogyAI, we collect:

  • Your email address and first name — to create and manage your account
  • Your guided question responses — to generate your eulogy or memorial content
  • First name, nickname, and pronouns of your loved one — to personalize the generated eulogy
  • Purchase information — processed via Shopify and our payment provider
  • IP address and device data — for account security and analytics

A note on content about deceased individuals: The information you enter about your loved one is used solely to generate your eulogy. We do not use this information for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose. We treat this content with the highest level of care and confidentiality.

How long we keep your information

  • Account and tribute content: until you delete your account, or after 24 months of inactivity
  • Eulogy generation responses: deleted within 12 months of generation
  • Purchase records: 7 years (required for tax purposes)
  • Support communications: 2 years from last contact

You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate our business:

  • Bubble.io — application hosting and data storage (United States)
  • Shopify Inc. — e-commerce platform and checkout (United States)
  • Klaviyo — email communications (United States)
  • Google Analytics — website analytics (United States)

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights including: access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a privacy authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@treulogy.com. We will respond within 30 days.

US users (California): We do not sell or share your personal information. You have rights under the CCPA/CPRA including the right to know, delete, and correct your information.

Canadian users: This policy complies with PIPEDA and Alberta's PIPA. You may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Security

We use encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) across all pages, access controls, and reputable security-audited service providers. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Children's privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you by email if we have your address.
